The Revolution is going to be able to play NES, SNES, and N64 games. Unless Nintendo plans on having players use the GameCube controller to play these, the Revolution will have to have an A button, B button, R and L buttons, an analog control stick and a control pad, s Z button, and buttons to match the four C buttons. Ah, and a start and select button. Of course, Nintendo could just re-program all the games to make them work with a new controller, but it would cost less to make a default controller for the Revolution.

I really wouldn't put it past Nintendo to make players buy a GCN controller to play the old games, though.

Why buy a GCN controller? Why not just make a whole new controller that you have to buy to play old games?
