cuz u people seem to have alot of problems with gothic people whats so bad if your gothic? i dont get it goths are just people who like to wear black and worship the devil and things like that

Jeez, if you want to defend goths, you should at least know what you are talking about. Only a minority are Satanists, and Satanism as a religion isn't even about worshipping the devil at all.

Satanism in terms of LaVeyism may not worship the devil, but I'm sure there are some devil worshippers out there that wear black sweaters and perform bizzarre rituals involving the exsanguination of small mammals.

People hate goths because goths are poseurs. They wear an image instead of their true selves, and more of what they do is for shock value than for pure aesthetics or preference. Find me a goth who is not absorbed in his appearance and you will have a person who doesn't care if he is called goth at all.

That is true of a lot of the younger crowd....because they listen to what the media says is goth. Hence the whole Marilyn Manson worshipping train wreck. If the media says that being goth is about being angry and shopping at Hot Topic then that's what they will do. They are sheep.
HOWEVER..there are those,such as myself, who have been into the music since the 80's. For people in my age group who are in the 'goth' scene it has mostly become a lifestyle. I DON'T dress in black to shock people,I am an atheist,and I could care less if I am called goth or not. I have been into dark themed litersture and music for the last 17 years and I don't see myself ever changing.
