Old Aug 4th, 2007, 08:20 PM        Just got back from BlizzCon...
Had a chance to play Starcraft 2 several times and my GOD... the game is fucking fantastic. It's so smooth and the 3D is handled beautifully, believe me when I say that nobody who liked the original Starcraft will be disappointed by this game. I picked it up quickly and it wasn't too hard getting the basics down, but there are so many more new abilities and units, there's a lot to learn still. I played as Protoss btw. They only had Protoss and Terran available for play at the convention. The game is clearly far into the development process so I can't imagine it will take too much longer for them to release it. They're probably just working on balancing the races a bit more along with the multiplayer online play stuff...

Anyway, if you have any questions about the gameplay, I'll do my best to answer 'em based on what I played.

I believe so, but we didn't get enough time to play that far into the game really (at least not for me since this was my first time playing it). Each game was 20 mins max, so we mainly had time to set up our bases, defenses and get some decent fighters set up.

Don't ask me, I have zero interest in WoW and avoided that stuff like the plague. :P

Mum is the word... and that's coming directly from the mouth of the president of the company. I know it's going to get made, but the wait continues...

I saw something like that, along with this huge insane mothership thing that could create black holes and suck entire armadas into it or rain lasers down on ground troops and buildings to absolutely annihilate them. The Protoss are so badass, but that's not taking anything away from the Terrans either. They've got some extremely cool new units and abilities. I can't wait to play it again. :o

Kekekekekekekekekekeke

But no, seriously. Are they going for the whole "the world is round" like in WC3? That shit makes me nauscious as bad as the perspective mode on D2. 2D-esque perspective forever, for fucks sake.

Re: Diablo III, Blizzard confirmed whenever ago that they still have a third unannounced game in the works, and there are two or more conventions this year where they'll have a chance to present it. I'm sure one more big new thing at Blizzcon would have been too much; they only had two days, after all.

"Too much?" Would people have gone into spasms if they had announced it?

Blizzard wouldn't have had time to do everything they wanted at the convention, you berk. The schedule was full enough and they didn't have room for something else that big.

I really wish they hadn't raised the level cap to 80. Or at least they could have waited a while to reveal this information. Why bother grinding for obsolete gear? T3 didn't last long in OLs. Why would T4-T6 last long in Northrend?
If I wanted to grind more I'd make a fuckin' alt. (Already have too many.)

I wanna see some Multiplayer modes where you can choose to eliminate the need for supply depots.
