I am in need of a movie series whose part 2 was just as good or better than it's part 1.

More specifically, a series of movies that only had 2 in the series. No part 3.

Example: Gremlins and Gremlins 2. There were only 2 of them, and the second one was better than the first.

It's for a hilarious joke that I'm writing.

Addam's Family Reunion was a straight to video piece of trash. It doesn't have a single person involved with the good movies (other than maybe Lurch), so I don't think it should count.

Okay, lets forget about it being AS good or better as the first one.

I'm looking for something pretty specific to suit my hilarious joke, but I don't want to say what it is because I don't want people to just be trying to think of movies in that catagory. Also It'd ruin my hilarious joke.

If the second movie at least DID WELL without being particularly good, then that works.

What? How the fuck is Army of Darkness not a sequel? It's more of a sequel than Evil Dead 2 was.
