I played it a little while ago on an 8-player Xbox LAN, and it really is pretty awesome. ;D

Hi-jacking vehicles is great fun, especially taking down tanks. ;>

And duel wielding is awesome. :D

The plasma sword thing makes matches a little uneven though, especially if its used as a spawn weapon. ;o

No doubt :o. But it's still the best damn first person shooter since...well..a while ;(. I think I like Halo more then most people (excluding microsoft fayguts) because I'm big into SHOOTING STUFF AND LOOKING TOUGH.

I thought it was good, outstanding even, but it was just because I feel it was the first game to get squad-based shooting down pat. Rainbow Six did it too, but it was too complicated.

Halo 2 looks like it'll make better on it. My big thing is, I always want extras and unlockables in games. Halo had none of that and I was a little disappointed.

Still, it's a good thing that the reason people kept going back to play it is because the levels themselves are damn fun, not because they wanna unlock another Art Gallery.

Actually, im not much of a Halo fan- i found the first really dull and kind of ugly and slow. ;o

The second one seems similar at first, but then you notice all the little details and once everyone gets accustomed to it, it becomes a lot of fun. ;D

Here is where i describe the gameplay a little, so tune out if you consider it spoilers. :>

The gameplay is much faster, and you dont have all those little health points anymore - its just one shield/bar. ;>

You can punch a hole in the tank things armor and throw a grenade inside! It is the most satisfying video game experience ever :O

What I found strange was the vehicle damage. My ghost would get all its armor plates shot off, but as long as I retreated to until my shield regenerated, it didn't seem to mean anything. ;?

Destroyable vehicles are awesome though, and so is the turbo function. ;D

Predator mode / Plasma Sword & Grenade matches are double plusawesome. ;D

Turrets are cool, but alien technology turrets pretty much suck, as do most of the alien technology weapons. :o

Overall, it was a great gaming experience, and i really recommend it if you can get some big network games happening- playing as the alien elites and getting to customise your color scheme/ badge is totally cool. ;D

Oh yeah, what makes the plasma sword terribly irritating is the "lunge" function- you walk 6 feet or so behind a guy and your recepticle changes color and its a one hit kill; although we did manage to dodge a few times. ;D

Apparently they've reduced the power of the pistol, and also removed its scope. This will totally change the dynamics of multiplayer. The last one was just a pistol-fest. While this was good against shit players, it was hell playing against good players who'd nail you all the time, from anywhere.

Wasn't he a robot though? so how would be be killed. Mabey reprogrammed by the convent or something. Or mabey i am wrong and he wasn't a robot.

oh and btw hickman it is probably going to suck almost as hard as the first one.

hes somewhat-cyborg, as he removes his helmet at the end of halo1 (unless he is a robot who requires a helmet)

Actually i completed it but it was a long time ago. Dont really rember much apart from going through hundreds of identical rooms and getting lost : /
oh and when the flood break through the doors, that was pretty cool.
