when you call something witty, you're describing it as clever or intelligent, literally, "this is [something] which is clever" but when you call something quippy, what you're saying is, "this is [something] which is [something] that is witty"

do you guys understand why it doesn't work now?

and just for future reference tadao, you shouldn't consider merriam-webster as the authority on proper usage, seeing as how they recognize"w00t!" and "fanboy" to be actual words aswell. the oxford english would be a far better resource. and just for amusement purposes, i did check it there and it doesn't exist.

Actually they are red granite blocks that sit on the the side of the foot path to protect people from cars. There are flower beds in between them.
