Flavored Canada Dry is delicious, indeed. Except the green tea kind. I like green tea, I like ginger ale, you would assume they'd blend well. Nope.
The best soda I can remember ever having is Boylan's. I don't know how far their distribution is or even where they're from, but every so often I'll come across them (in the General Store in Clifton, VA; in the Spy Museum Cafeteria in DC; in a sandwich shop in Manassas, VA). All of the flavors I've tried have been delicious - root beer, orange cream, grape.
Also there's some Virginia-based bottling company that makes root beer that I think I've come across in only two shops (one's a farmer's market near Winchester and the other is a souvenir shop near the WV border along US522). If I remember, it's pretty good.
I like Canada dry but not the flavored kind. Only place I can ever find birch beer is at a bar. Totally worth going too because they have 10 cent wings too.
I used to get it in Jersey when I was on vacation from school in Ithaca. Once I came back to the Midwest, though, no more birch beer. I found some bottled at Jungle Jim's, but it's not nearly as good as draft.
NOT REALLY BUT TYPING IN CAPS MAKES ME FEEL ALL WARM AND FUZZY INSIDE 'CAUSE IT'S REALLY EDGY ISN'T IT
Anyways, I had some good times on these forums a few years back, so I thought I'd come down and stroll down the memory lane. Or maybe it's because i'm drunk right now. either way, it's nice to be back for a while. and thank you guys for the warm welcome.
