Anyone that's mod or above already has the button.

Also, I added a 0 point infraction - you can flag this and then fill out the PM box below it to send someone a friendly reminder.

This will still create a thread in the crime lab, however, so try not to be too hilarious with this option.

It would be nice to see in everyones profile what their infraction status is. I would check out more peoples profiles if this was there.

So right now, do I only know if I have an infraction is someone pms me? If the give me one and don't pm me, will I still know I have one?

You can't complete the Infraction Transaction™ without sending a PM. Believe me I've tried.

I've only given out three infractions and all of them were retaliated with a hefty amount of sass, so I expect a lot of new people will do this. What should we do if that happens?

esuohlim - i removed the pm requirement when I set this up today.

As for dealing with sass, I suppose we'd just yell at them like we normally do.

Mabye there should be an infraction for that, if they are clearly not being reasonable about it and the warning is rightly justified.

There are two levels of NSFW infractions. one is a one point -for stuff like hannah montana, and the other is for full out porn, and is an instant one week ban.

to the best of my knowledge, liquid hasn't done anything else. if another mod has a problem with him, I'll take him off.

Again this is not for the position of board mayor, it is a button that lets you warn people.

Looking at the picture now, I can see why he'd post it and not think it's NSFW. It's borderline at best.

And again - calm down, sweetheart.

Okay here are the people I think should be mod in some capacity:

Emu - He has a good sense of humour and I think would do a great job. I always wondered why he never got the position the last time you did one of these threads.

Willie - Being the OFFICIALLY best liked poster on the board has got to be worth something, and if that wasn't reason enough; he hates jerks. Which is something I'm sure we can all appreciate.

Here are the people I don't think should be mod in any capacity, under any circumstances:

GW - I know she thinks she could do a good job but I doubt she's mature enough to handle the POWER of moderator functions. She'd end up doing all kinds of not-funny stuff to try and cement her position as being accepted into the community and it'd just suck.

Liquidstatik - He's no where near as funny as he thinks he is and is quite probably some kind of paedophile in the making. As per Guitar Woman, I don't think he's responsible enough to have any kind of power over other user's posts.

Right, and it looks like I should've read the first post in this thread past the first couple of lines because I now see you're not looking for "mods".

Either way, I stand by my comment.

ADDED: Careful chojin you might send me mad with power, what with listening to my opinions and allowing me to install secrat back doors in your Mario forum that allow me to ban GW at any moment.

Yeah, this isn't modship, this is more like the assistant manager position at Wendy's. I don't really have that much power but god damn my balls are hanging low right now.

I mean yes my actions could result in a temp ban, but I'd have to yellowcard someone a whole bunch to result in even a minor ban, and naturally I'm going to get kicked off if I go around yellowcarding every post some idiot makes because I don't like him.

It's a good thing we have these Red/Yellow Infraction Cards now that the Sports Thread has gone live. The soccer fans will love this new system. :O

Anyway, I actually do think Mattjack and zomboid have legitimate claims as upright citizens. Both have been on the boards a long while, and zomboid used to be a staff member.
