Gwar's lead guitarist Cory Smoot (Flattus) found dead.
Gwar is one of my all time favorite bands. I've met the lead singer Dave Brockie, given them weed and when I was younger stole a 24 pack of beer for Todd (who was Beefcake the Mighty at the time)
These guys were a huge part of my youth, and their guitarist ever since 2002 has been found dead. They don't know why yet, but it's really got me bummed the fuck out
I was going to see them on the 25th, usually when a band member leaves unexpected they're pretty good about filling the hole quickly with an older member or someone talented, but it wouldn't be the same.
