I like to try to eat new animals every summer. Two summers ago I had moose, caribou and elk. Last summer I had rattlesnake. Last week I had alligator and turtle.

What new denizens of digestion have you guys experienced?

I'm not adventurous enough to eat any meat besides cow and chicken.

When I was a little kid, I ate snapping turtle once...some neighbor had a big snapping turtle in his pond or something, and when they got it out, they cut it up and my dad put it in soup (yup, turtle soup..) and told us (my siblings and I) it was beef. We didn't find out the truth until years later.

Does rattlesnake actually taste like chicken the way they say it does?

The rattlesnake I had was prepared with a great deal of spices, so I couldn't discern any particularly chicken-like flavor. The other reptiles I've had, though, had the texture of chicken with a venison-like taste.

Ostrich isn't bad, I had an ostrich burger the other night, but I thought beef was better.
