I've never really had bouts of depression. I get moody and it passes. As a child I could alway's find something to do and I think as an adult you need to find things that interest you to the point of pure determination to succeed. I want to be a musician.

The cure depends on what's causing your depression... ?

This is where you elaborate for 10 pages.

Stop eating food. Or cut yourself a lot.

You gotta make your pain real...

A brief trip to the psychology board made me a little wiser and now I wish I had something worthwhile to say.

Hang in there!

There, that did it.

Or wait till they come up with that pill that's supposed to cure your depression in the brain.

for one, kahlil gibran's "the prophet" helped me put things in perspective. he speaks of joy and sorrow being of the "selfsame well," that sorrow carves out that well only to make room for more joy. i think appreciating the bad shit helps me stay out of the depression pit.

DID YOU KNOW:

The first case of Depression was diagnosed in 1914. The original symptoms were believed to be unprovoked feelings of sadness, skin lesions, and recurring nightmares.

exercise and healthy eating helps

keeping your mind on other things (a project or w/e) CAN help or it can turn into obsessive-compulsive disorder

When I'm depressed, I don't want to do shit all, because I believe I'm gonna fail anyway and I don't believe it'll be fun. What gets me out of them, and fuck if I know exactly how I do it, is doing something that makes me proud about myself. I don't think you can plan it, you just grab that apportunity when it comes along, and then you feel proud about yourself, and you're back to normal.

Maybe this is some help to you. Probably not, because you don't believe in anything when you're depressed. Whatever. The cure to your depression is inside you. You'll stumble upon it sooner or later.

One of the things I feel are very real about a depression is how it's a lot like being really, really happy, in that when you're in it - it feels like it will never end. But when you're really happy, you become sad eventually - and when you're really sad, you'll become happy again. It's all balance. Maybe the less you think about it, the better it works. Uh. Don't know. Good luck.

"happy happy joy joy + always look on the bright side of life"

I would honestly agree with "always look on the bright side of life"

Also, porcupine racetrack from the state. When I was a high school drama club fag, I would always watch it before leaving the house on the night of any performance ;_; That was to beat nervousness, but whatever, i bet it works just as good for depression ;_;

Depression is one of those fake psychological problems.

Did your dog die? Tough shit.
Did your girlfriend dump you? Rape her.
Did you just catch your brother giving it to your mother in the ass? Go cry in your pillow. Don't post on the fucking internet.

Stop being such a pansy assed bitch and get over it.
