What can I tell you, I know you'll all think I'm an idiot, but I love this show. I want the Fab Five to remake me.

I thought I'd hate it too because I suspected it would just be a bunch of flamers acting like Christopher Lowell and being laughed at for being gay by the audience. They're actually funny and not all that flamey though (except the fashion guy, but he's a fashion guy so what do you expect).

Yay.

Oh, and they can remake me anytime too, my apartment looks like shit. Where the hell is queer eye for the queer guy with no sense of style? Cause we need help too, dammit.

I haven't posted here in a long time and now I am just to say that I fucking love this show. Yes, it's reinforcing the stupid stereotype that all gay guys are fashionable and cook well, etc., but then again it also reinforces the stereotype that all straight guys are hopelesss slobs so I guess it evens out. And I don't care because it's fantastic. Word up Max.

YEA! I am validated.

Steryotypes or not (and I agree with Ooner, there's nowhere near as many as I thought there'd be) I think this show rocks.

I Particularly like how INVESTED the fab five are. It's not just hysterical, it's nice. And there's damn little believeable nice on TV these days that doesn't feel calculated, manipultive and cynical, and it's coming from GAY GUYS, so BLOW ME, POPE! BLOW ME, PRESIDENT BUSH and an extra hard BLOW ME, PAT ROBERTSON!

Wow, I'm surprised at the positive feedback for this show on this forum. I too love QEftSG, but unfortunately I can't get a makeover since I'm a straight chick. I tried to get my dad to sign up, but that didn't go over too well. Le sigh.

i love this show too. i especially love learning that my tough, italian, hammer-slingin' boyfriend knows and performs most of the tips that they divulge during the show.

I watched it a few times. It is fucking funny. I laughed for about 10 minutes at the end of one episode where the Alpha Queer goes, "CHEERS QUEERS!"

Oddly, I wouldn't have laughed half as hard if that wasn't in all lower case.

Bravo? You have Bravo there..Hmm I thought it was a Canadian channel. Bravo sucks here with wierd ballet and scraped from the bottom movies that aren't even cool because there awful. I can't wait for the second season of 6 feet under. I get painted as a homophobe but if there is a story and I can relate it's cool but showing guy's fucking and kissing is not my cup o tea.

I finally saw it, and it was the one glowy mentions above.

That cop, jeeze he's all standoffish and quasi-homophobic when the fab 5 is around, but when they aren't he was more of a nelly than the fashion guy! I found it interesting that his mind went right to sex when he was getting his tan, and that Kyan had no idea why. His gf was really gorgeous, I have no idea what she saw in him. It was like watching Fred and Wilma.
I loved when she got uppity about the chairs, and they made fun of her for having a giant leather couch

Great show, I'm going to make this one I watch every week

(is it me or does Carson look like the blond guy from S Club 7? )

Wow, people, please stop watching this show.

This show is the equivalent of how African Americans were treated in the early 1900's. They got more acknowledgement, but it was only due to their entertainment value. People exploited them as minstrels, and them had them play for "whitey". They were considered nothing more than entertainers, and were a novelty, rather than considered human beings that had worthwhile contributions to make outside of music and dance.

It's the same today, with queer eye. People get excited, able to watch real homosexuals interact with "normal" straight guys. IT'S SO ZANY TO SEE A FAG HELP A STRAIGHT GUY! This show makes the assumption that all gay guys are crazy and entertaining, and have more fashion sense than straight guys, just as white exploitaters had african americans play based on the premise that they were just mere minstrels that had more music sense than whites.

The only hope for this show is that these ridiculous means help show homophobes that gays arent something to be feared. I, on the other hand, don't need to watch this show, becuase I already know that gays are normal people, too, and I feel that it wrongly reflects the gay community. All you I-mockers should be ashamed of this show, I assume you already know that the gay community has worthwhile contributions to make to the world, including those outside of the fashion industry.

You think that African-Americans aren't still thought of as more musically talented and better dancers than whites and they aren't exploited for it for entertainment value?

So you're judging something you've never seen and know virtually nothing about, but are trying to lecture us about prejudice and stereotypes?

wow.

There's one 'wacky' gay guy on the show, and he's yes over the top but what's wrong with that? I don't see the guys on the show having guns put to their head, if they dont' have a problem with it, why should it bother you?
