Saying this movie is anything remotely good is like saying Star Wars Episode III is a masterpiece.

So basically the aliens are metaphors for Native Americans.

Also, this guy's been gone for so long, he's gonna have to reprove himself. When you spend (according to him) 12 years on something, your perspective tends to skew.

Plus, I watched that asshole talk about the story for a goddamn hour at E3, and I'm still ripshit. Fuck that guy

He doesn't need to reprove himself at all. What the fuck are you talking about? He has made some of the most successful and highest grossing films of all time and if the studio felt that he needed to reprove himself he wouldn't of been green lighted the largest Hollywood movie budget in history for this film with basically free reign to do the film as he wanted to do it.

It's his last directing role since...what, Titanic?

And again, this is a guy who won't shut the fuck up about how cool he thinks his story is, because he devoted 12 years to it. It's kinda like that delusional guy who made Bob's Game and went batshit because Nintendo wouldn't publish it. I'd laugh if this sold worse than New Moon.

I don't think it's bad because he's narcissistic, or because he may or may not be rusty. I just don't see anything special about this other than the tech used to make it. Just because the guy who made Terminator made this doesn't mean everything he touches turns to gold.

Besides, I don't really know anyone who's excited about this film who wasn't stage crew for the film. I'll gladly wait to rent this.

Stop boasting James Cameron like he's some fucking last footed soldier. He can only IMAGINE himself falling in the shadows of the greats. Talking about the fuck face like he's god damn John Cassavettes.

Not that Im saying this as a strong support for the Avatar movie but...

James Cameron is WAY fucking better than John Cassavettes.

I rather not prefer a movie where the characters with a blue complexion look as if they have fetal alcohol syndrome. Personal preference I suppose.

Did you see it in 2D the first time around? I'm wondering what the people who chose or had no choice to see the movie in 2D thought of it.

I'm not going to give out all the info of this movie. But I loved it when the evil colonel who acted all nonchalant while drinking cup of coffee inside the cockpit when shit were getting blown up. I thought I was going to die laughing.

What didn't you like about the movie? Was it the acting? The plot? It couldn't have been the CGI because it was pretty goddamn epic and unlike any other movies I've ever seen. The plot was simple and unoriginal but it wasn't terrible. My only peeve was the battle in the end of the movie that mildly disrupted the flow of the movie because it was pretty corny. I didn't allow it to dictate my opinion of the first 2 hours of the movie tho.

I'm definitely going to see it again AT ANY COST. I just want to throw my money at james cameron. I'm hoping to catch it in the real imax theater and not the fake one at amc/loews like I did the first time.

I saw it last night. I'm a big fan of 3D movies in general and have gone to quite a few so far this year. The 3D effects are all top notch. The world of Pandora was very well detailed and all the creatures were interesting. The bright colors of the world and the creatures was also quite a sight (). The plot was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, although some dialogue was noticeably very bad. My only real complaint is it felt way to long. The middle of the movie dragged on with barely an action sequence in sight and way to much romance filler. The action in the beginning and the end of the movie was all excellent. Worth seeing in theaters thou because of the great quality 3d effects and i also thought the sound of the movie seemed of very high quality. just maybe wait until the theaters are less crowded so your able to stretch a little when hour two hits and you realize you still have like 40 minutes to go.

I also imagine if you saw this movie in 2d that it would not be nearly as enjoyable to look at because it was made with the 3d effects as the prime focus

of course you felt that way because you were hating on it from day one. it wasn't amazing but its not nearly as bad as you claim. you much really hate 3D
