Had you read my original thread (I think it was titled I'm pissed at myself or something of the sort), you would have realized that what I'm telling you is consistent.

As for spending time with her, when did I say that? I wouldn't say being shuffled into a line and being randomly alloted to her as an escort and for the first dance is "spending time". Fifteen minutes, maybe.

If you want to talk about recent happenings, there are two minor things I've noticed, but I don't think they mean very much.

Well... one time I was walking behind her, and her friend came up and looked back at me. The friend sorta smiled, and then the girl I'm interested in looked back at me once or twice. I could have swown that I heard my name when they were talking to one another, too. I realized that they thought I was following them, so I broke away into the mass of people at my school. After all, I didn't want to give them the impression that I was stalking her.

The only other thing that deserves mention is that she sat down with her friend at a seat adjacent to mine in the one class I have with her. She said "Hi", but I didn't press for a conversation. Anyway, I would later be moved to another seat because some asshole started acting up and the teacher wanted to see him better.

Oh... and the day before last, one of the guys in a group I was talking with (smacked or lightly kicked? I can't remember) her ass. They started pointing fingers and made me the scapegoat.

I denied it and that doesn't have anything to do with her liking me, but I feel like abusing the

emoticon.

You shouldn't need to "press" for anything... you should at least have said "hi". After that if she has the least bit of interest in you she might talk to you. But you'll say she was busy with her friend.

Meh. I think I have less of a chance with her than the other one.

She's just a friendly sophomore. There really isn't very much going on that I can tell.

There's this rather hot guy at my school who plays the guitar alot. He aready has a girlfriend, though, and I'm not cute. However, often times he will be kissy kissy with her on the stairs, but he'd turn and say, "Hiya Maggie!" I'd say hey, and he'd continue with his gf.
