Anyone seen this movie yet? It wasn't out in the theaters very long, but from what I could tell in the previews, it looked pretty good. Plus it got some good quote from the LOTR director.

Good horror flicks are so incredibly few and far between, I'm always intrigued when I see one that looks decent.

Sadly, as good as the trailers may have made it look, it was just weak. A decent amount of gore, but the story sucked ass and dragged on for too long. Maybe worth a rental just to laugh at how bad it is... but that's all.

It was pretty damn mediocre, I have to say. I was very disappointed because I had such high hopes. Like Mock said, I'd rent it, but I definitely wouldn't see it in the theater.

"laugh at how bad it is"

Isn't that the point of this movie? I mean, the writer/director's previous film experiance was working with Troma.

I saw it and I loved it. There was a lot of genuinely gross stuff, and it was also really funny.

And it didn't get good reviews from the LOTR director, it got good reviews from the Dead Alive/Braindead director.

Better than Freddy vs. Jason.

That's what made it such a let-down. I heard that Peter Jackson stopped production on LOTR so he could show it to everybody in the cast cuz he thought it was that awesome and I was like... "Well DAMN! If Peter 'Dead Alive' Jackson fucking loved it, than this HAS to be worth seeing!"

It just wasn't. It wasn't even that gross. I guess that's why it was such a big let-down. Personally, I liked Dreamcatcher a lot better than Cabin Fever.

Not in my book. Freddy vs. Jason was extremely entertaining and I haven't seen that much blood splattering in quite some time. The amount of blood was just ridiculous in parts and I loved how it stayed true to both of the series. Now they had better release a damned good DVD for it (complete with footage of the weigh-in at the Vegas Casinos).

i really liked cabin fever, more so than freddy vs. jason, but maybe thats because ive never been really into either of those series, though it was still a great movie. but cabin fever was pretty gross, and i enjoyed it alot
