If you're into music, check out the scene around your area. People usually post flyers around the campus. Go to some shows, and some people may come up to you and say they've seen you around the campus, and possibly strike up conversations and even invite you to more shows.

Also afterschool job, meet people who don't go to the same school. Join drama, meet girls, or if that's not your cup of tea you can meet guys...
