Or Soccer as those of us unwashed heathens refer to it over here, across the pond. Since the teams are presently congregating in lovely South Africa, it's probably time for us to start handicapping the chances for our favorite country to advance to the round of 16.
I like the USA's chances to make it out of group play, but I can't see them advancing past the round of 8. They just don't have enough depth. A quarterfinal finish would be an excellent result, though still unsatisfying.
Personally, I'd almost be happy with any result except Brazil winning it all. My apologies to any Brazilians I've offended.
