That's doesn't upset me. For the longest time I considered buying a mini-itx so I could mount a PC in an old NES console. There are lots of people who have done this already but it was just too expensive.
As far as Doc's observation, yes, Nintendo got rid of the front-loaders because of the wear on the contacts. After a while the springy metal prongs got bent. But remember how you had to insert the game then press it down? It was the downward motion that did the most damage. It would initially give the ROM more surface contact with the pins, but over time it wore out.
I'm sure the pin connector they're using in this is a tight fit and straight on. No movement required.
