You should have included a picture of Night Trap's blood pops with the Harry Potter blood pops :o

Were there even blood pops in Harry Potter? That seems a little too sinister :<

Honestly, I have no idea if there were or not... the Harry Potter books don't interest me, and what little I've seen of the films made me change the channel quickly as well. But yeah, I'd like to know if blood pops are actually part of any of the stories or not or if this is just a lame excuse to try and cash in on Harry Potter merch this Halloween.

The Harry Potter books actually get pretty brutal at times, and yes there are Blood Pops.

Ok, do the Blood Pops have a purpose in the books or are they just the prefered treat of witches or some shit?

They're at a candy shop that all the kids go to when they get to spend the day in this town not far from the school. I'm pretty sure the first time we're introduced to them it says something about how they're marketed to vampires. They come up a few times.
