I-Mockery's Big 2008 San Diego Comic-Con Photo Album!
by: -RoG-

...CONTINUED

When a dog face bursts out from within your face, it's probably time to seek medical attention.

The Goddamned Batman would be very lucky to have this Robin at his side.

Buck-toothed plush carrots from Planet Tokki. You know you want one... or twenty.

Keep on fightin' them wars in the stars, ladies...

Iron Man, poised and ready to strike.

A variety of superhero memorabilia - Iron Man, Wolverine and Thor!

Say Cyclops, maybe you should blast your kid for digging into his nose like that?

Now here's something from way back in 1975. Monster Tattoo bubble gum packs from Topps!

What do you mean you can't see her jet?

Shortly after, she broke into the robot dance.

aIf you're gonna build an Indiana Jones sculpture out of Lego blocks, why not do it from one of the better movies?

Once again, the impressive Batman Lego sculpture was on hand.

I dunno about you, but I think it's high time Solid Snake and Link team up in a video game.

For every Joker, there must be a Harley Quinn.

Don't take a photo of her too closely, she'll claw the lens right out of your camera.

Bored Inc., don't their best to make the San Diego Comic-Con full of shit.

Voted best pizza in America? I demand a recount. It was good, but not nearly that good.

We stopped by Walgreens on the way home that night for some hotel room snacks when I stumbled upon this.
I shit you not, this is a REAL product. It's a box full of cookies that you replace your meals with. Welcome to Hollywood.

There are still many more
2008 San Diego Comic-Con photos to see!

Dammit, I missed Bruce Cambell. I need to read through the guide book more carefully next time (I missed the axe from The Shining as well, were was that?).

Awesome pics RoG, really nice work. Glad to see some of the costumes I missed (though I could've done without that one Wonder Woman's ass. She was hovering by the Slave Labor Graphics booth when I was stuck in line, and it wasn't pretty to look). And massive kudos for finding the two really awesome Jokers amidst a sea of them (I think that Nurse one was also the one carrying the pencil around, extra points there). But where's the shot of the giant GIR costume?

pretty sure http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/comic-con08/104.jpg is supposed to be doctor mrs. the monarch aka dr. girlfriend in s3 of venture brothers, but kind of a lazy effort?

ok, alot of these pictures were frikken kickass.
too much manboob and too many oddly unnattractive freaks though.
Not like they are ugly people, because I'm sure they'd look fine in their regular clothing,
but the sort of people who shouldnt dress up as something they cant pull off.
and a few of those pictures might earn you a spot on a predator list. =P

Wow, 17 pages of pure awesome. Makes me wish I had the energy to sneak into the Con. I heard there was a Twilight movie panel, and I could've totally called them out on their bull or something. Oh well. I'm also pretty sure I met the second Nurse Joker at a Denny's afterwards.

SO yeah, agenda is currently: Get a dog, buy a pump, go to Comic-Con '09.

Awesome job -RoG-, you can't imagine how much I have laughed this day.

Hey, I think Nick has a nifty idea for you. Ever thought about creating a Pickleman costume for yourself and maul people with a giant pickle at the con?

The girl taking a break from her meal to pose is fairly obsure. Its Dr. Girlfriend in her Queen Monarch costume...It didn't last long she went back to her regular Jackie Kennedy outfit by the next ep of Venture Bros.

Ok my geek is showing but two quick ones the goth Joker was a poor costume of Ryuuk from Death Note, and it's "Buddy Christ" not "Buddy Jesus" But anyway awesome set as always. How much was the shining axe? I want.

Good Golly. If I never make it to a Comic-Con at least I can die happy knowing I experience just a little bit of it every year thanks to you RoG. Fantastic pics as always.

You have a very difficult life going to these things as a business expense don't you.

I hate this hacker crap!

Wow. It's almost like being there for real. hahaha

I wish I could've gone. Alas, it's a pipe dream.

Maddox said on his website he was not going to the Comic-con. Did he change his plans or something?

I have to say...I didnīt know that this con existed 2 years ago and I didnīt know it was important until...well, now. But what can I say, Iīm one ocean away from the whole thing.

Look interesting though. Just a little too crowded for my taste.

The unknown character on Pg. 11 (http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/comic-con08/216.jpg) is Emma Frost, aka The White Queen, from various X-Men incarnations.

And as for the other mystery, (http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/comic-con08/276.jpg) The one with horns looks like a Yuna Berserker from Final Fantasy X-2, but I've got no idea on the maid.

PS - Rog, you still suck for being able to go and I didn't, but awsome pics, man! Loved looking at them all!
I must preserve my P.B.F.

Your Comic-con stuff is one of my favorite yearly articles. PaX is this August, but it isn't nearly as impressive. =/

Copper, thank you for identifying Emma Frost for Roger, because it was bothering the shit out of me that he didn't know that. haha

Also, RoG, the chick with the green hair in that one G.I.JOE pic is Zartan's daughter. She's in the comics only. So don't worry, it wasn't a really bad Baroness or anything.

My favorite pic this year is definitely the Stormtrooper and the little kid Spider-Man. That fucking rules.

I really hope I can make it out there for next year's con.

Page 4 "Goth Joker" is actually Ryuk from Death Note.

Page 8 "Tarzan" girl is Lum from Urusei Yatsuura.

*salutes* Always happy to oblige, sir.

And thanks for clearing up about Zartan's daughter. I was afraid, myself, that it was a poor Baroness cosplay, and then it was "Wait, Zartan had a daughter?!" (I know he had siblings, but a kid?) Thanks.

Second on the favorite photo and second on the "hope to be there next year" but unfortunately, I shall have to likely have to continue living vicariously through Rog's photo galleries.

Yay!

Also, I had a friend tell me about the Yu Gi Oh thing a while ago. I stopped playing a while ago because it just got so stupid. Now, in the show, they play on those duel-runner motorcycle things. THEY PLAY CARDS WHILE RACING ON MOTORCYCLES.

I like each year's Comic Con picture galleries, since I'm too time strapped to go to one on a plane from Australia. I suppose there were a lot of Jokers, but think of how embarrassed they would be from knowing a lot of other people went as the same character...

As always the designer toy photos were awesome, I ought to get me some of those.

A few comments. First...that "burlesque" person in red and fishnets...is that really a woman?
Secondly, you should have brought a bunch of bananas for Kevin Spacey so he can recreate that scene from K-PAX.
