St. Patricks Day Parade

So I went to the parade on sunday and they had all the usual things, dancers, bagpipers, teamsters, etc. Two things that actually shocked me though:

1.) Santa Claus driving a convertible in the parade.

2.) A pink Cadillac with a horn that plays La Cucaracha.

I went to a Westcounty agricultural show and there was a santa in a cage being attacked by a dinosaur. :eek

Close! That's about 20 miles down the road. It's actually a local show called Frome Cheese Show. It's mostly a show for people to exhibit their prize cheeses and livestock. Unfortunately only a small part is concerned with santas in cages with dinosaurs :tear

I couldn't work in my primary work zip code yesterday because of the parade, so i had to go to the outskirts of town and do what work orders I had there.

Last parade I went to, there was a lion in a kilt pulling a gorilla in a bicycle rickshaw. I still haven't figured that one out.

I like drinking on St. Patricks day and celebrating but I also celebrate it 6 months before and 6 months afterword. Everyone once in a while I get yelled at for having red hair, but I dye mine. I just don't like how people assimilate St. Patricks day with getting full blown tanked, there's more too it than that.

and five de Mayo IS coming up, I plan on drinking a bit, but I don't assume everyone with a spanish or mexican ancestry is getting full-on hammer smashed.
