So, I stopped watching it even as a joke a while ago, roughly around the time they revealed that Vince McMahon has an illegitimate midget son.

Since then, I tuned in once to see that midget paint a hole on a wall and run into it to escape Carlito Carribean Cool (who of course ran into it after him bugs-bunny style)

And then I tuned in again to see Vince and JBL in a cage match versus that midget while the midget's irish caretaker was handcuffed to the ropes and crying.

So, really, what the fuck? Who watches RAW to see that shit? (protip: it is nowhere near as funny as I make it sound)

I also caught last night's main event which was pretty good, all things considered. I hate Cena's character to death, but am glad to see MY BOY Randy get over. Orton and Cena 3Ding some jobbers was pretty excellent. Still just as tired of Triple H winning every altercation as I was five years ago.

SECOND QUESTION: Who do y'all think is gonna win main event at wrestlemania? Cena, Orton, or Triple H?

I'm hoping for Orton of course, but when was the last time a heel won in the main event at WM, you know :<

The "telent" (and I use the term loosely) is not what it once was when the likes of The Rock, Kurt Angle, and Mick Foley were there. It was a golden age that was ruined when Hollywood snatched up the most entertaining talent to make sub par movies. It was OK when Hogan and Ventura did it, because they still showed up to wrestle/announce.

Other than Carlito and Jericho, I don't think there is anyone left that has tht "it" that The Rock had, and even Carlito and Jericho only have a little of "it".

I am not sure Orten won't win at Wrestlemania though. It might be that they are setting up for Jericho to beat Orton (provided he is still around, I don't even know, but last I had heard they had a bit of a feud going).

I'll still watch Wrestlemania even though the luster has long diminished for me, mostly because a group of us get together every year and watch it. EDIT: And of course, the circus that is Floyd Mayweather vs. The Big Show, I almost forgot about that

I'll watch it every once in a while just to see if there is anyone as entertaining as the Rock.

I've always liked Jericho. I think he's got tons of showmanship. He needs to be a headliner.

I actually want to watch this Wrestlemania. the card looks pretty good. Except for one thing:

For the love of God, someone make Ric Flair retire. I get sick watching him try to amble across the ring, stiff as a board and unable to sell any of the hits. All he does is fall down, bleed, and somehow win.

So who all is actually going to watch Wrestlemania? I will likely do it. My friends and I used to watch every PPV back in the day. Then it was just the major ones like Royal Rumble, King of the Ring, Survivor Series, and Wrestlemania. Now it is just Wrestlemania. We will still dust off the N64 though and play No Mercy all day Sunday leading up to the event though.

We usually watch the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, though we skipped out on the rumble this year. Good thing, too, since Cena entered at #30 and won it.

I'm still debating whether I'd rather watch wrestlemania or stay with my GURPS game for the last half of the session. I'm leaning toward wrestlemania.

I watched it. I will just give opinions as I don't want to spoiler it up for anyone.

JBL vs. Finley had the funniest moment of the night I thought.

Money in the bank match was very boring to me.

Kain vs. Chavo.... well, you'll see if you haven't yet. And if you have, you know what I am thinking I bet.

Big Show vs. Floyd Maywether. This was so poorly done and was dumb all around. A total disappointment. Hopefully though, Jim Rome saw it and says something that makes me laugh about it.

Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels. I did not know this match was on the card, and it was by far the best match of the night. I was especially impressed with the choreography of both the wrestling moves and the emotion they conveyed through the match.

HHH vs. John Cena vs. Randy Orton. Loser? The fans.

Undertaker vs. Edge. I hate Edge with a passion because of what went on between him and Matt Hardy behind the scenes, but I have to give credit where it is due. He is good at selling wrestling moves.

JBL Vs Finlay - Waste of my time.

MITB - good, solid spotfest.

Kane Vs Chavo - Made me mark out.

Flair Vs Michaels - Match of the night. Enough said.

Triple Threat - Didn't care enough to watch.

Mayweather Vs Big Show - Done a lot better than I thought it would be.

Undertaker Vs Edge - The ending made me happy.

MITB - great match, shitty result. what the fuck is punk going to do with a title match? there are only like 5 guys on the ecw roster to begin with, and I can't imagine he wasn't already the #1 contender.

Kane Vs Chavo - poor, poor chavo ;<

Flair Vs Michaels - the best flair match I've ever seen, I didn't know he could actually wrestle!

Triple Threat - I couldn't believe my boy retained, although the match itself was kinda gay.

Mayweather Vs Big Show - Why is it that every time a celebrity fights a wrestler on their own turf, the wrestler loses? What does that say about wrestlers?

Undertaker Vs Edge - It actually looked like Edge was going to take it at one point :<

Rick Martel, Mr. Perfect, Rick Rude, Honky Tonk Man, Roddy Piper

I miss the old days of WWE when it was still the WWF

The last wrestling event/show I remember watching with interest was the Summerslam with Jesse Ventura as the special guest referee. It was either 99 or 2000. I've tried several times to watch an episode of RAW since then but the shit is just garbage.

Agreed. I was going to buy tickets for WrestleMania 25, but then I realized I could spend the 75 bux on a video game, some beer, and a pack of smokes.

The worst part about pro wrestling being what it is today is that there is likely no going back to what it used to be. The cat is out of the bag as far as kayfabe goes, titles reigns last a couple weeks, and the shows and events are more like variety shows than (pseudo) sporting events. I doubt any promotion would even be willing to give the style of the 70's, 80's, and early 90's a try.

10,000 Volt Ghost

I think since WWE destroyed the competition it's become lackluster. Kayfabe in general got out of hand. I've been looking for a clip where the Rock was in a ambulance after being beaten by the NWO shortly after the merger. Then Hollywood Hogan rammed into the ambulance with Semi-Truck. Then Hogan got away with it because the Rock "Technically hit him first".

It's over the topness like that that made me stop watching it. Thankfully I have most of WWE/WCW from 97-2000 on VHS that I'm going through watching with my roommate now. It'll never be the same.

Watched tropic thunder last night. There's a part where this guy has two hands full of heroin and then punches two people in the face.....so they got heroin punched. My rommate and I started to think of gimmicks we could sell to WWE.

Ahab from Rehab. Used to work at a rehab clinic but was fired for intentionally getting the patients drugged. He could have a harpoon filled with heroin.

Or the cocaine uppercut, put coke on your fingers so when you uppercut someone it goes straight up their nose.

Well, you can go after either of the tag championships in career mode with a created character, but you only have a small number of non-created partners to choose from. The only designed tag-team campaign is the Batista/Rey Road to WrestleMania.

Orton TAPPED OUT but the ref didn't know how to declare who the winner was. So the match CONTINUED and then Orton pinned someone else later and WON the match...WTF?

Now obviously I could see some confusion as to who the winner would be between HHH and Cena but it definitely wouldn't be Orton....later on.

I like how Cena gets 2 title attempts, both times with the stipulation that Orton can't rematch. Why? Cena got like 10 tries before he finally won the "I Quit" match, and that was pretty much a foregone conclusion since the WWE decided that superfaces can never lose by submission. The ironman match was pretty good, but why in the graces of fuck would you tap out with 3 seconds left on the clock? I'd be fine with my boy losing if it didn't always happen in the lamest way every single time.

Smackdown could have really used Cena, too, since they're already pandering to the K-12 crowd over there.

So now Cena has a belt that he doesn't need, and Orton is feuding with.. Kofi? What did he do to deserve that? Did Orton really punt Shane in the head?

Best match of the night was Evan Bourne vs The Miz, but it's horseshit that Miz won at the last second after getting his ass kicked spectacularly the entire time. Again.

I'm pretty sure Miz is just 2P of Jack Swagger. I did see the Kool-Aid allstars come out and rumble.

Yeah, the Miz wrestles like a heel Cena.

Download one of Orton's matches from the last few pay-per-views, they were all pretty good.

Not really, Cena's style is to get his ass beat until he builds up his ultra meter and then win in two moves.

When I saw Cena vs Miz at "The Bash" :rolleyes it was Cena no selling the two offensive moves Miz managed to crap out and then Cena going through his entire move list in under 2 minutes. Then the next night at RAW it was basically the same thing but longer. :(

SHOULDER BLOCK
SHOULDER BLOCK
DODGE A PUNCH
BACK DROP
5-KNUCKLE SHUFFLE
F-U

that should be his finisher in the game ;< it requires too much cooperation on the other guy's part to pull off the entire combo

sometimes orton just lays down for the second shoulder block and cena goes flying out of the ring, it's hilarious

That is basically what he did to Miz except he ended it with the STFU after the FU or as it is now known "The Attitude Adjustment"

TEAM MORRISON: John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Evan Bourne, Shelton Benjamin and Finlay vs. TEAM MIZ: The Miz, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger

Team Midcard vs Team Douchebag hair

I laughed at Miz and Swagger on the same team, then marked out for JoMo and Evan Bourne, which I thought would only happen in fantasy land 2000 years into the future

Also lol, only one member of Team Kofi is white. :(

Raw is bad enough to make me ragequit wrestling forever

They would do that, but WWE is family centered now. :rolleyes

Which means no more abortions or necrophilia.

They have had some quite tasteless moments involving the dead haven't they?

Remember the Big Boss Man dragging Big Show's dead dad in a coffin around?

I was sort of getting sick of JoMo vs Ziggler every week, but that was actually a great match

The lineup for survivor series is so good that I might even buy it.

I tried looking back through the WWE thread but I can't find it today(at work where ytube is blocked.) but I posted the video to that.

I loved how Boss man also found a Blues Brothers squad car from the roaring twenties.

Is it because he's nego?

Mark Henry is an Orton killer too.

COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT

Chojin
Nov 30th, 2009, 01:29 PM
No way, Orton's murdered Henry in short order twice now.

I've noticed that the WWE is letting a lot of heels go over clean lately, especially at Survivor Series and this last RAW. That's awesome, but they've also marked a Kofi and Cena as men who can do no wrong and are basically invincible.

I'm not particularly looking forward to "the little people's court" that we'll be subjected to tonight. WHY does mini-me have to host the one RAW in Baltimore?

Sam
Nov 30th, 2009, 01:49 PM
I MIGHT ACTUALLY WATCH IT TONIGHT, JUST TO SEE CHOJIN'S DISMAY AT ALL THE TINY PERSON ANTICS.

I hope Mini-Me drives out to the ring because it will take the little guy 10 minutes to hobble out there by himself. :\
