Inform him that easter eggs and bunnies are a hold-over from pagan fertility rites that managed to piggyback itself onto the resurrection of Christ and that it's OK to hate the Easter bunny because he's ruining Christianity for us all.

the easter bunny: when the magic's over. my ten-year-old son and i were talking, and the fact that easter's coming up arose. he claimed he hated easter 'cause the easter bunny's stupid. "but you like rabbits," i responded. "but he's PINK and girly," ryan said. "i'm gonna cap him between the eyes." i told him he definitely shouldn't expect a basket full of candy this year.
