I can read my pay stub, thank you. I get paid at the management rate when I am management. The store closes at 10pm, and the daytime manager leaves at 5:30 (generally). From 5:30 until the time I clock out (usually 10:30), I get $20.40 (which I believe is the base wage for assistant managers) an hour. For those hours, I am "totally making $20/hr." I closed two nights last week, rounded off to five hours of management each night. And yesterday, the one in question, I came in at 2:30, at which point the person in charge for the morning left. Yesterday, I got a full eight hours at "totally $20/hr." Totally. |

ok, great! by the way, you only got 10 hours at that rate. i wouldn't say that is totally making $20/hr. ONLY SORTA KINDA SOMETIMES. probably when the real grocery store bosses want to get together to go see your girlfriend and her dog. |

I never said I was unhappy making 20 bucks an hour. I was implying that it's stupid they pay me so much to do stupid shit like talk to fellow employees about cockrings. I'm in Northern Virginia, as I've already mentioned in this thread and right under my username it says "Virginia." I brought up Canton, Ohio because one of the times I was visiting I discovered that their Aldi's are actually grocery stores, with meat and produce. Ours sell the bare essentials, the last I checked. I can show paystubs. I make $20.40 an hour for any time I spend as management. My base wage, for all other times, is currently $11.00. |
