As he turned his weathered face towards the orange-red, setting, western sun, he took a pull of his Kentucky bourbon. He squinted as the smoke rose from his hand-rolled cigarette and tipped his Stetson to wipe his brow. He strained to look out over the wide expanse of land from his hilltop perch.
