So, just because a book is really old and it talks about God, it should be considered scripture?
I wouldn't consider the Vulgate made in the middle ages, since it was finished sometime in the 400s. Some people might call that medieval, but most would consider it classical. Unless you were talking about the King James bible, which was written AFTER the middle ages.
