Its actually more like the other way around. Pearl Jam is pretty intense about their fans. Constantly screwing over ticketmaster so that their fans can get a fairly priced show.
In fact, recently they did 2 concerts
entirely for free here last winter. And that was just in addition to their normal show that they did only a week earlier.
Now, I really don't like Pearl Jam that much, but I do know they are the most obsessed with pleasing their fans than any other artist alive today.
