Who cares? The best thing about that game was the news footage. They showed the guy getting esorted out, with a sweatshirt over his face to block the camera. Then, this crazed Cubs fan rushes him and tries to pull off the sweater, but a guard checks him into the wall.
Afterwards, they interviewed the fan and he says he wanted "to expose the man who cost the Cubs the game." Classic.
No word on how one lost ball caused them to botch the game in whatever way that they did. Still, I wouldn't want to be in the shoes of the poor bastard who just wanted a Major League ball.
On a related note, I wonder how much you could get for a ball that cost a Major League team a game?
