Stats for American Jews:
Less then 500,000 American Jews attend Synagogue regularly. About a million or so practice other religions, and another 2 million have stopped practicing religion altogether. Jews make up about 2.2% of the entire population. The median age is 51, substantially higher then the typical American. Children make up less then 19% of the Jewish population. 85% of adult Jews were born here.

There are 5.2 million self identified Jews in the US. 2.9 million Jewish households. 19% of these households are considered low income, compared to 29% for the rest of Americans. 47% of Jews have intermarried. Only 1/3 of interfaith children are being raised Jewish (2003 National Jewish Population Survey)

I recall reading that there are actually only 900,000 Jews in New York, and 1.2 Million in California (maybe the numbers are flipped?) but that these were the only central areas for Jews. There are areas of the Bronx that lost about half their Jewish population in the last decade alone.

Comparitively, there are around 2 million Native American Indians in the US.
