MISSION ACCOMPLISHED
The thing about this whole banner dust up is not that W. once again lied, not that he tried to pin the blame on the navy, not that no one in the Navy is willing to support his claim that the banner was their idea, not that Mclellan had to publicly admit the banner was produced by the white house, not that Bush was wrong about his advancemen who had been planning the event for days, not that when message banners visible behind the presdient during all photo ops are a standard procedure for his advance team and he expectd the public to think this one time the message banner was just a co-inky-dink.
The thing is, the distatseful thing, is how snarky, whiny and unmanly W. was in answering the question.
Which is why his folks don't want the poor bastard off book and why he gives less press conference than any modern president. Off the cuff he comes across as just what he is. A privilidged whiny preppie who took to playing good 'ol boy to mask the fact that he wasn't anywhere near as smart as your average priviliged whiny preppie.
I never could have imagined saying this about... well... anyone, but Junior isn't half the man his father was.
