I think his speculations on the present tension are weakly substantiated. However, as you know, I do think there is strong evidence for a biological basis for aggression that probably influences small group dynamics (independent of our ability to reason). It's more difficult to see how it would manifest on a more macro-scale but it would be interesting to model this behavior.

That being said, my primary concerns are whether something is true or false, and whether it works or not. If it's easier, then that's an added bonus.
