Thank you, but that isn't supposed to be shading on his eye. It is glowing in his eye. If you look close, it is supposed to be like a solid clear eye that the light hits the back off and fades away quickly with the density of the eye.
The fish is actually much more detailed and has much better shading. Like good artists say, when the shading is good, you don't notice. If they stand out then you did them wrong.
