I agree he's way better suited to AG personality wise, but VP is a more natural springboard to the Presidency.

People seem to think that his heroic behavior during and after 9/11 (and it really was heroic, no argument) innoculates him permanently against the fact that he was kind of loony in a lot of ways. I wonder.
Plus, he's not exactly Mr. Family values.

Cheney has publicly stated he intends to continue on as VP. Do people just dismiss this out of hand?
