You don't need to dress stuff up in psychology. Just say "I'm weak-willed and insecure" and everyone will understand.

Weak-willed? No. Insecure? Quite possibly.

Yeah, she noticed you staring at her. So those times you "caught her doing the same thing," she was looking to see if you were gawking at her.

I doubt that. Every boy gawks at her. Hell, compared to most of the guys, I'm mild mannered: after all, I don't talk to her.

Combine that with the fact that she used to have a crush on me, and a few other minor details that I don't want to bore you with, you may have half of the equation - but I doubt you have all of it.

All that, and if my memory does not fail me, I think she started looking at me first.
