It's like Alan Watts says:
Culture/Eduction destroys the spontaneous nature of a child, and in order to function as "Proper Adults" you have to lose your imagination and creativity and become Self-conscious of everything you do... so the life cycle of a person is to lose their child like aspect, become self conscious, then spend a few years trying to regain their creativity and spontaniaty.
In most respects that Culture and education is a necessary evil.
