I'll tell you what. All polls aside, I find W's use of 9/11 from his ads to the late date and location of the RNC convention to the fact that he's used it as a justification for doing everything he'd put on his wish list BEFORE the attack cynical and extremely distasteful. It's my opinion (not a fact since I'm not psychic, just an opinion) that anyone truly undecided and so not inclined by party loyalty to forgive W is likely to find it distasteful as well.

I think W. has made a HUGE tactical error and it's way too late to back of it now. I think W. has the same tin ear for the mood of the people his father did. On the other hand, he has the money, and the top 2% of America has plenty more to give him.

Time will tell. I don't pretend to know in advance what the electorate will do or what will happen between now and Nov. but I know what I think of the American people, and I think that W and his cabal have misunderestimted them.
