I don't know, it just seems to me if we're so keen on spreading democracy we ought to be able to accept Spains decision, since it was arrived at democratically. The people of spain feel Iraq is our mess. We deffine that as bowing to terrorism. My guess is they don't.

he coalition isn't falling apart becuase of terrorism. It's falling apart becuase we lied to them.

I think now that Al Quaeda is there, we have to fight them, but I don't think this can be done under US control, certainly not with W. as commander in chief. The next government there will almost certainly be shia dominated and friendly to Iran. Al Quaeda isn't interested in killing fundamentalist shia. Of course we'll have to worry about this new government cooperating with Iran way more than we ever worried about real cooperation with Iraq, but that's the situation we created.

Anyone want to explain to me why we're letting Pkaistan deal with this Al Quaeda guy they've supposedly surrounded? What is this, Tora Bora II?
