Are the odds good that she actually will ask the guy and/or that he will accept? Sure you look like the ultimate doofus now but if the odds of one or both are slim, your ultimate revenge is yet to be attained. Once she has failed in her attempt for the alternate love and comes crawling back to you, make believe you are in favor of attending the event all the way to the end. "Yes, I've got your corsage. Yes, I've rented the limo. Yes, I've got my tux. Ect" Then when she shows up at your doorstep in full regalia on the night of the event, show up at your door in shorts, t-shirt and carrying a bowl of Cheetohs and tell her that you don't know what the hell she is talking about.
