"It's a marketing ploy on his part, and a brilliant one at that. Only a select number of people care the next Michael Moore film, but more people might care about "the film Disney didn't want you to see!" etc....."
Seeing as how Bowling For Columbine was the most popular "documentary" of all time, and one of the most popular films of 2002, I suspect more than just "a select number of people" are looking forward to Moore's new movie. It'll be a huge hit no matter what type of shit storm is drawn up over who releases it.
