Perhaps it has invaded me indirectly from religion but, I assure you, I'm not a religious person. I don't think that it's genetic or inherited trait but I do think that it is a socially learned trait that comes from thinking individuals having to live together harmoniously. As it seems to be part of most major religions, it probably evolved from first being a matter of social etiquette to later being absorbed into the indigenous religion to re-enforce what they considered, as thinking beings, correct behavior.
