This, I think, illustrates the extent of the hyperbole that the United States has used to make its case for war. Quash one reason, the US will diligently find another -- justified or not. Hypothesize all you want about these "Mirage fighters" -- the more sensible among us demand -real- evidence. Let's see the anthrax, the VX, the botulinum toxin. A substantial connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda. If these are there, then let's talk. You can't even describe this feeble attempt as grasping for straws. The speculation (the US has called this a "smoking gun") and reality could not be farther apart. This and other pathetic excuses for war only obfuscate for the deluded the real reasons why the United States presses for war -- hegemony, revenge, economic interest, colonialism, power.
