Deficits are meaningless if viewed outside their relationship to GDP. For example, if I tell you my own personal budget for this month is running a deficit of $600, your first question would likely be "Well, how much do you make per month?" If I "bring home" $5000 per month, that deficit isn't likely to be as big a problem as it would be were I making minimum wage, right?
The "Biggest Deficit EVER" bullet point is a strawman, anyways. Bush ran the Texas economy exactly like he's running America's domestic show. When the left side of the aisle bitches about deficits, they're mostly just complaining about the post-Reagan tactic of spending the money before the Dems can get ahold of it. While it's true that Democrats have become, at least in practice, more fiscally conservative than the actual conservatives, this is mostly because they lost their power in the Gingrich Revolution. Deficits weren't a big problem before that, when they had all the power.
