So about there maybe being a draft...

I think I remember this topic being discussed here before, possibly at the start of the war in Iraq, and hearing that the possibility of a draft was a rather nasty Democrat initiative to confront civilians/voters more directly with the possibility of having to fight and die. Nasty, because said Democrat party would be mostly sitting pretty and due to issues like age and status not be egible to get drafted themselves. Am I thinking of the same thing?
