You're brainy, well thought out idea reflects dramatic changes in the way America votes. It completely makes sense to overhaul the entire system, without regard for new problems THAT system might prevent, in order to better reflect American voters intentions.

Rather than a 30 point electoral college win, Bush wins by 20. Without question the 20 vote margin is a far better indicator. I mean a 30 point win would be, hell, 10 more electoral college votes! Preposterous!
