Christmas was enjoyable, but I guess the childhood giddiness is lost on me. I got nice medieval gear, including a really good sword, shield, and period boots. Zach gave me a Viking meerschaum pipe, which I love. I started a diet, becoming roughly vegan. I’ve already lost all my holiday weight, so I’m optimistic that I might be back to normal by the end of Spring. I’ve been fencing on and off, which is quite enjoyable. Hopefully I can attend a tournament at Notre Dame come the end of the month.
