That first season was 1995, mind you, and you were watching a TV edit of it. The credits also list Bob and David as writing everything in the first season, which is pretty great considering the quality.
I love that episode for Bob's line about making a sandcastle and David's performance of the guy behind the shop counter.
The absolute hardest I've ever laughed at Mr. Show was the finale of the Lost Episode, or whatever it's called, in season 3.
Dino Stamatopoulos is my favourite human.
