To me, a lot of RPGs don't have a lot of replay value. I just spent 70-100 hours on a game, and going through this experience, I don't really feel like starting it all over.

Also, I'd suggest people check out Chain of Memories before they get KH2. CoM starts out really slow, feeling like a remixed rehash of the first game. But then it just opens up and reveals more of the story and new characters, which then sets up Kingdom Hearts 2.

I'm not exactly sure if they'll catch people up to speed if they didn't play CoM. Sure, they'll possibly reintroduce and bring up some characters and moments, but I think there will be a few gaps that CoM fills.
