What I meant to say was: If your generic family experienced the same loss as the Tillman family you would be unlikely to hear about it. This is partly because of an absence of noteriety and interest that someone like Pat Tillman brings and partly due to a lack of resources that a non-Tillman family would likely have. In other words, the story would be buried in a small obit while the guvmint consoles the bereaved with some similiar hackneyed bullshit. No disrespect to the Tillman family but, in a way, I'm kind of glad that something like this happened to someone famous because it gave cause for a diligent reporter to dig deeper and find out the ugly truth. It's ironic for the present administration that, in their attempt to take advantage of a popular sports hero, that their propagandist attempts blew up in their faces DUE to his notoriety.
