I think "your" should be a fair replacement for "you're" and "its" for "it's" and "there" for "their" and "they're" in American English.
If I had my druthers, we'd elimiate all homonyms, homophones, and homograms. Hell, we could take out the homosexuals while we were at it, just for consistency. What do ya say?
