It's a spoiler as much as telling how Dorothy off the Wicked Witch of the West at the end of The Wizard of Oz. I mean, if you didn't already know what happened to all the aliens at the end of War of the Worlds, even having not read the book or whatnot, you're missing a huge chunk of American pop culture trivia.
I refuse to watch this movie, because the local "We play what we want" radio station is using subtley disguised brainwashing to make me want to go see it (since everyone else is, and what a great idea for Independance Day weekend). Which just pushes that wannabe nonconformist button in my head.
